Friends,
Moments of uncertainty remind us how powerful collaboration can be. When challenges arise, like those currently facing many Arkansans, it’s often our partnerships that become the greatest source of provision and covering.
Last week, the City of Little Rock joined with the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, the Little Rock Food Commission, and the Little Rock School District to support residents affected by the federal furlough and the SNAP benefit freeze.
What began as a response to disruption has become a reflection of what defines our city: neighbors, businesses, and organizations coming together to ensure that families experiencing hardship gain access to nutritious food and other essentials they need to provide for their loved ones.Partnerships like these remind us that leadership is not only about policy—it’s about people. When we work together with purpose, we create pathways for stability, dignity, and hope.
Thank you to everyone who continues to make compassion one of Little Rock’s greatest strengths.
If you would like to contribute, please visit littlerock.gov/lrcares to make a donation or learn more about our partners like Edwards Food Giant, which is offering a 5% discount on grocery gift cards purchased for donation, and local restaurants providing discounts to diners who bring in cards to be donated to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.

I appreciate you!
